Paper Submission
OPTIC has been a closed/internal presentation and discussion over the years. All invited and contributed papers are published only on CD or USB drive without ISBN. This is intended to avoid any issues with subsequent journal submissions. As a result, preliminary research results are most welcome to submit to OPTIC.

The Complete Online Submission
- Papers submitted by email or fax will not be accepted.
- The Author must fill in the required information for the manuscript, including the title of the paper, the affiliations of authors and co-authors, the contact information, the types of presentation like oral or poster, and a 100-word abstract.
- All information must be completed in English, and incomplete information will result in an unsuccessful paper submission.
- Students competing in the student contest must be the presenter and the first author of their papers.

Guidelines: Style
- The single column, 2-page manuscript should be submitted in PDF format online.
- The paper size should be A4 format (210mm x 297mm) and the paragraph should be typed in single-space.
- All content, including drawings, charts, photographs, tables, figures, and references should be within the specified two-page limit.

- The quality of your PDF file is essential as the paper will be included in a USB drive if accepted. Please verify the quality of your manuscript carefully for print and electronic publishing.
- Revisions will only be accepted up until the paper submission deadline.
Notice
One-Page Results Report
- The information below is for those whose research is funded by Photonics Program, National Science and Technology Council (NSTC, formerly known as MOST), R.O.C. (Taiwan).
- If you do not plan to submit any manuscript to OPTIC 2024, please submit your 1-page results report by clicking “NSTC (MOST) Report Submission” in your OPTIC 2024 account. In this case, you will still need an OPTIC 2024 account to submit the report.
- If you plan to submit a manuscript to OPTIC 2024 and wish to use it as the results report for the Photonics Program, NSTC (MOST), you will be directed to do so when submitting your manuscript. No need to submit the 1-page report separately.
- The deadline for the report submission is the same as that of the manuscript submission.
- Please make sure that the report follows the style guide described in the Microsoft Word template and is within the 1-page limit.
Types of Presentation
- The time slot for each talk in oral sessions is listed below:
- Contributed talk: 15 minutes
- Invited talk: 30 minutes
- The last 2-3 minutes in each talk are set for questions and discussions.
Oral Sessions
- Poster sessions are scheduled for selected papers that may be better presented in details with more visual images, allowing poster presenters to share their viewpoints with visitors and have discussions one-on-one. Attendees can also study or restudy the information during the poster sessions.
- For poster sessions, OPTIC 2024 provides each presenter with a bulletin board on which the presenter can mount a poster A0 format (Width 84.1cm x Height 118.9cm) , and the presenters can provide flyers of the research if needed. Please note that presenters must be around their bulletin boards to make their presentations and answer questions during the poster sessions.
- All post-deadline papers will be presented in poster sessions.

Student Paper Awards
- The Student Paper Awards are sponsored by IEEE, OPTICA, SPIE, and TPS. To be eligible for the awards, you must meet the following criteria:
- The student has to register to attend the conference in person.
- The student has to be the first author of the paper.
- The student should be the presenter of the paper and present it in English.
- All awardees have to bring ID card (or Passport or ARC) for identification and rewards.
- Awards are available for both oral and poster papers.
